Room disinfection: when it is needed and how it works

Disinfection is needed when regular cleaning is not enough: after an illness, in cold and flu season or at a food site. Here is how it differs from cleaning and how it works.
- Cleaning first, then treating the most-touched surfaces.
- Products are chosen for the surfaces and the task and agreed in advance.
- We quote after an inspection: it depends on the room and the task.
How disinfection differs from cleaning
Cleaning removes dirt and dust. Disinfection is treating surfaces with special products. We do both together: products work worse on a dirty surface, so cleaning comes first, then treatment.
When disinfection is needed
After an employee or resident has been ill; in cold and flu season in offices, schools and children’s centres; before an opening or after renovation; in cafes, shops and food sites to the requirements of your sanitary documentation; before moving in or after moving out of a flat.
What we treat
The most-touched surfaces: door handles, switches, desks, lift and appliance buttons, plumbing fixtures and kitchen areas. The list and the products are agreed before work starts.
When you can go back in
It depends on the product. We tell you in advance when you can return. We work in Riga and Jurmala; other towns in Latvia by arrangement.
